Finding the answers: Health and Social Care Information for Consumers

Join Healthwatch East Riding of Yorkshire at their offices in Brough for a free one day event in support of Health Information Week.
This is an annual event developed by Health Education England’s Library and Knowledge Services to support patients and the public with their health information needs.
This event aims to benefit all staff and the public by raising awareness of the resources that are available to them. The event will showcase examples of excellent local health and social care information resources and services provided by the local authority, health care and third sectors.
The day will be aimed primarily at the public and will feature a programme of presentations around the following themes:
- The Expert Patient’s Perspective
- Information Services across the NHS, Local authority and Third sectors
- Removing barriers:
- Making information accessible – The Accessible Information Standard and communicating information;
- Using health information to deliver positive health outcomes
The event will also provide opportunities for informal conversations with a range of service staff.
