Free memory problem research awareness event

May 19 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

People with memory problems in Hull and East Riding are being invited to attend a free research awareness event.

Humber NHS Foundation Trust will hold two sessions, at 10.30am and 1.30pm, on Friday, 19 May at Parkway Cinema in Flemingate, Beverley. Carers and Trust staff are also welcome to attend.

A Humber spokesman said: “The aim is to demonstrate that research can make a positive difference to people’s lives and give them a sense of hope.”

Organised to coincide with Dementia Awareness Week, from 14 to 20 May, the sessions will tell guests about the Trust’s research and how they can get involved.

Humber’s research includes testing new services and treatments, genetics, promoting health and well-being, and learning more about the quality of life of people living with dementia and those who support them.

Refreshments will be available and transport can be arranged.
