Job Centre Awareness Event

This event is designed to give key stakeholders and partner organisation an overview of both the current benefit system and also the future direction as Universal Credit begins to roll out in the area.

The event is in direct response to many requests for information following partnership meetings and will play a crucial role in raising awareness of what Jobcentres offer and the support available to our customers.

The Jobcentre understands the important role that supporting organisations play in moving customers closer to work. Your skills and expertise is a key element when dealing with DWP claimants, by working together we can all make a difference to their lives.

This event will allow you to gain a high level overview of benefits, what customers need to do to meet the requirements and also the support mechanisms in place when they fail to provide information or don’t attend appointments.

It will also give you an opportunity to look around a modern Jobcentre, see how we are changing to meet the challenges ahead, particularly around the digital agenda and hopefully break some of those myths of the old ‘Dole Office’

Places are going to be limited to 2 people maximum per organisation and there is an agenda attached including the times of the various sessions.
