Kayaking sessions (Goole)

August 17

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is running free kayaking sessions for young people at the Yorkshire Waterways Museum. On Thursday 17 August, taster sessions will be run, starting at 10am, 11:30am and 1:30pm.

The hour-long sessions will be led by qualified coaches, offering participants a fun and interactive way of getting out on the water. Each session will be limited to six paddlers, so pre-registration is essential. To book your place now, contact Jess Beckett on (01482) 395318 or by email at jess.beckett@eastriding.gov.uk

In order to take part, participants should be able to swim 50 metres. We will provide the necessary equipment (kayaks, paddles and buoyancy aids). Paddlers should however bring a change of clothing as they will get wet. They should also dress appropriately for the weather because our sessions will run rain or shine.

These taster sessions are being generously supported by Sport England as part of the Goole Paddlers project.
