For VCS organisations that are embarking on employing staff for the first time or for staff who manage or supervise and /or recruit employees.  Managers that have supervised paid staff for a while and feel that they need a bit of development, support or simply updating would also benefit from the workshop.

The workshop will include:

  • The organisation – where do you and your team fit into its objectives, do you really know?
  • Volunteer or Employee?
  • The manager and employee relationship – manage your boss and employee, individual needs, confidence
  • Practicalities –
    • Starting Employment
    • During Employment
    • Ending Employment
    • Managing Change
  • What’s out there to help? Can you prevent issues and situations from arising?
  • What’s new – what to be aware of
