The project needs enthusiastic people who have an interest in healthy cooking and enjoy working with people.
The project consists of 4 x 2 hour sessions, delivered in the community or at Marvell House Children’s Centre. The first 45 minutes of each session will be educational, involving group discussions, tasks and practical activities. The remainder of the session will involve some hands-on cooking of selected recipes such as Spaghetti Bolognese, stir fry, curry, soups and much more .
ABL Health provide all cooking and safety equipment: fire extinguisher, fire blanket, food, recipes, electric hobs, chopping boards, pans, cutlery and information leaflets to take away. The parents will be cooking in twos, each with their own equipment. After cooking, everyone will sit together and eat as a group.
