Learning Activist (with a focus on LGBTQ+ work)

For the past 30 years, The Warren Young People’s Project has been providing vital support services to marginalised and vulnerable young people in Hull. Operating from Hull city-centre, the Warren’s staff team of 23 offer free support, guidance, training, education, counselling and music services to young people aged 14-25 who are experiencing a whole host of issues.

They currently have the following vacancy available as part of The Warren Can Do Learning Project:

Learning Activist (with a focus on LGBTQ+ work):

A 9 months contract (covering Maternity leave)

17.5 hours.

Salary £11,198.00 (actual)

The Learning Activist will be part of the Can Do team delivering The Warren’s Lottery funded access, resilience, citizenship and learning provision. This post will have a focus on LGBTQ+ work developing and sustaining the significant work achieved by the Warren to engage, support and empower LGBTQ+ young people to get involved.

Due to the nature and client group associated with this position, we are actively recruiting for applicants who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, in accordance with Section 158 of the Equality Act 2010 amendment (Positive Action).
