It’s your chance to help shape the future of the area and transformation of the Council.
Following changes in Government funding, all councils are seeing large amounts cut from their budgets and North East Lincolnshire is no exception.
The Government has drastically cut the funding it gives to the council and is reducing it more during the next few years.
The amount of money the Government gives in revenue support grant will fall from £17.755m in the next financial year to £8,995m in 2019/20. In addition, they’ve had to cut £79-million from the budget since 2011.
This means about £1,100 less per household to spend on delivering services, and this is undoubtedly going to have an impact.
The Council want to work with you, with businesses and with other organisations to deliver services differently.
Let’s talk about it – please complete this short questionnaire asking for your views on what’s important to you, where to spend the funding, how they help provide services and how they might do things differently. If you want more details, read the relevant Council meetings and reports on their budget for 2017/18.
