Music for Alice – Funding available for instruments and music equipment

Awards of up to £1000 are made twice a year to enable groups and organisations to purchase musical instruments and equipment so that they can improve lives through music.

Music for Alice encourages applications from a variety of organisations that require extra support to continue the work they do.

Awards can be to made to any group, organisation or charity based in the United Kingdom that has a formerly constituted character and can demonstrate that securing funding will enable them to improve lives through music, and can demonstrate the need, the impact and legacy of the amount of money applied for.

They are targeting two distinct groups.

  • The “Music for Youth” award is aimed at applicants focused on using music to improve lives for 0-19 year olds.
  • The “Music for Health” award is aimed at applicants focused on using music for health or rehabilitation benefits.

Application Process

Groups are required to put forward a representation of what they do and why they are applying for an award.

A group can apply for any amount up to £1000.00.

They are currently reviewing when they will open the next round of funding. Sign-up for updates in the meantime.
