The Down to Earth Herb Garden

Down to Earth are transforming a piece of overgrown land into a herb garden for the city. They will be developing the garden over the coming months and running sessions throughout the year, which will be open to people across the city to:

  • get involved in clearing and landscaping the site
  • take part in planting up the garden in the autumn
  • find out more about herbal medicine
  • learn about herbal medicines that can be grown and used safely at home

They are looking for volunteers who would like to get involved in the project. Due to the nature of the site and the work that needs to be done our initial gardening sessions will only be open to volunteers over the age of 18.

Starting from Thursday 21st July they will be running regular gardening sessions every Thursday between 1pm and 5pm.

If you would like to get involved or find out more about our project either pop along to a session or contact us on 07922950311 or at The herb garden is located on Salmon Grove, off Cranbrook Avenue in Hull and can be accessed via the university car park on Salmon Grove.
