Treasurer needed for Home-Start Goole & District

Voluntary role – expenses reimbursed

Do you have the skills and knowledge to provide financial guidance to a well-established family support charity?

Home-Start Goole & District is looking for a Treasurer to join the friendly and professional Board of Trustees.

Home-Start in Goole has been recruiting and training volunteers to support families with young children since 1995.  The charity is funded by Big Lottery until July 2019 and also applies for grant funding to provide activities for families during the year.

Board meetings are held bi monthly on alternate months at The Courtyard in Goole. Trustees are invited to get involved with other aspects of the charity, i.e. fundraising, marketing.

Home-Start Goole can arrange for you to attend a committee meeting to see whether you would like to become part of the team.

The role of Trustee offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the community; being a Trustee means making decisions that will impact on people’s lives.

Experience or knowledge of Charity Finance and fundraising is desirable to lead and advise the board on all financial matters and ensure that proper procedures and records are maintained.
