East Riding Council for Voluntary Youth Services (ERCVYS)
(Until March 2007 when it moved out with ERVAS)
The North Bank Forum worked in partnership with East Riding Youth Service, Connexions, The East Riding Children’s Fund and East Riding Sports Development to establish a new service to support voluntary and community youth projects.
ERCVYS is strictly an independent voluntary youth sector organisation.
The aims of ERCVYS are to:
- Help and support new and existing voluntary and community groups working with children and young people, by finding out what stage they’re at, where they want to be and how they can get there.
- Ensure that all groups working with children and young people are fit for purpose, helping them to develop their policies, get support with CRB checks and overall ensure they are protecting themselves and the children and young people they work with.
- Involve groups in other partnerships where appropriate and represent them at strategic level where necessary
