Hull and East Riding Options (HEROS) - Funding Ceased October 2009
HEROS was an interactive web-site giving both professionals and the public a ‘one-stop-shop’ relating to all health and social care and legal information.
The site contained local information provided by health and local authority services and by a wide range of voluntary sector organisations. It also included information about national and regional organisations, and provided direct links to more than 500 national websites on health and social care.
By providing knowledge, information and contacts, HEROS aimed to empower people to make informed decisions about their health, well-being and legal rights.
Through HEROS, people could access the information they need to be able to help themselves.
