Local Funding:
Sportivate Programme
Sportivate is part of the ‘Play’ strand of Sport England’s London 2012 mass participation legacy programme ‘Places, People, Play’ and will begin delivery from April 2011 and run through to March 2015.
The Humber Sports Partnership is working with Humber Local Authorities to engage high quality organisations to deliver projects using Sportivate funding across the Humber area.
Funded projects must contribute towards achieving:
- More semi - sporty 14-25 year olds taking part in structured sporting activity in the Humber
- More semi - sporty 14–25 year olds being retained in sport in quality exit routes post Sportivate.
Organisations should ensure projects they submit for Sportivate funding achieve the following delivery objectives:
- Provision of 6 to 8, one hour sport sessions delivered over 6 to 8 weeks
- Provision of activity that meet the demand of the 14 – 25 age group
- Identify clear routes into regular participation through a stated exit route (e.g. club)
- Form close links with partners including NGBs throughout project delivery.
