Safeguarding:
Hull Safeguarding Children Board: Prevention of accidents group
Prevention of accidents strategy 2011Accidental injury is a leading cause of death amongst children and young people aged 1 - 14.
Many of these injuries are preventable. It is the duty and responsibility of everyone living and working in Hull to promote the safety of children and young people through the Every Child Matters agenda.
The Board’s target is to reduce the number of emergency hospital admissions caused by accidental injuries to children and young people aged under 18 years per 10,000 of the population by 3.5% year on year until the strategy review.
The strategy, its action plans and work of the agencies involved in the strategy is available to download from the Board’s website
