FoLDA - The Humber Federation of Local Development Agencies

The North Bank Forum is a member of FoLDA


The vision of FoLDA is to meet the support needs of the voluntary sector in the Humber sub-region and thereby contribute to its success.
The purpose of the federation is …

  • to develop strategy, funding and delivery of infrastructure support to the sector
  • to act as the sub regional body for the sector, creating the link between local and regional bodies and seeking to influence the agenda at local, sub-regional, regional and national levels
  • to unlock new sources of funding for support of the sector for the benefit of local areas and to manage funding through the choice of an appropriate member organisation
  • to be the accountable body
  • to build positive relationship with local statutory bodies
  • to review and refine priorities, in the light of experience, in order to create a long term strategy for infrastructure support and refine priorities, in the light of experience


Membership of FoLDA is by invitation to infrastructure organisations serving the voluntary and community sector in all areas of the Humber sub-region. Infrastructure organisations are those which provide support services, these are sometimes called umbrella or second tier organisations, their members are organisations rather than individuals and they may be generalist (eg a CVS) or specialist (eg supporting health organisations).

CERT   CERT - (Community Economic Regeneration Team)

CERT specialises in innovating, managing and delivering job creation and community economic regeneration projects that raise the economic status of communities.

The aim of ERVAS is to develop the ability of voluntary and community sector organisations with charitable aims, to manage their money more efficiently and effectively, enabling those organisations to better attain their objectives.

The aim of HANA is to promote the well being of BME communities in the Humber sub-region, by providing a voice and advocate on their behalf and by representing their interests in a range of influential or decision-making contexts.
 
hull cvs.gif HCVS – (Hull Community and Voluntary Services)

HCVS is the umbrella body for voluntary and community organisations working in Hull. Hull CVS promotes and supports voluntary and community action in the city.
 
HWRCC.JPG HWRCC- (Humber and The Wolds Rural Community Council)

HWRCC works to support rural communities in East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire. Its aim is to strengthen rural community life by offering information, advice, support and training.

The aim of HLC is to encourage and support learning in the Humber sub-region by making it easier to access and provide learning opportunities.
